Major Jam 4: Cosmic Postmortem
Overview
Even though I wasn’t able to finish the project in time for the Jam. I was able to learn and relearn a lot of Unity. I wish I was able to make more progress. In the beginning of the week I had a very rough idea of what I wanted to build. It became pretty clear during the middle of the week when I was still trying to figure out the movement for the Player as well just what kind of game mechanics would make it fun. Once I had finally decided on the direction, it was nearing the end of the week. Work hours also didn’t help the situation. I also kind of struggled to be passionate about this project at all. The final weekend was mostly me just trying to play catch up and try to get anything resembling a game finished at all. I struggled to get some of the game mechanics in a functional state which made progress slow. I submitted the project none the less.
